Fishing Harbors

The neighboring towns of Protaras, Paralimni and Ayia Napa each boast their own charming fishing harbors that are ideal for a leisurely waterside stroll to enjoy the view of the boats bobbing along the waves, and maybe even glimpse a fisherman or two as they sort through their catch of the day.

Village Churches

Cyprus is an island with a rich cultural and religious history, and this is evident through the many churches – large and small – that are scattered along the cities and villages. While many of the larger churches are a grand sight to see, the true beauty lies in the small, ornate chapels tucked away in little villages. The region of Protaras has plenty for you to explore, from the chapel of Prophet Elias to the chapel of Agious Anargyrous and the chapel of Agioi Saranta.

Cape Greco National Forest Park

The National Forest Park and conservation of area of Cape Greco offers 385 hectares of unspoiled natural beauty, and is one of the island’s true gems. Use the hiking trails to trek or cycle through the area and admire its magnificence, or dive into crystal blue waters for an almost otherworldly experience. Boat trips are a great way to enjoy the breathtaking views from a different angle.

The Ocean Aquarium

The island’s only aquarium is located in Protaras, and will enthrall kids and adults alike with its deep dive into the exciting and diverse world under the sea. Home to more than 1000 species of fish and other animals, including piranhas, stingrays, crocodiles, penguins, and more, as well as an expansive Tropical Garden, the Ocean Aquarium is sure to delight.

Protaras Strip

The paved main strip of Protaras is a hub of activity, surrounded by a variety of venues offering unlimited entertainment options, from nightclubs and bars to shops and mini-golf. As an added bonus, the main road also links the area to Ayia Napa, which is just a short drive away.

Musan

An aquatic treasure for Cyprus, Musan is the first underwater sculpture park in Cyprus. Comprising more than 90 artworks by renowned British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor, these under-the-sea exhibits create a habitat for underwater life, and are a true treasure to behold by snorkelers and divers.

Ayia Napa Waterworld Waterpark

The island’s largest water park is located just a short drive away, in the resort town of Ayia Napa. Parko Paliatso Luna Park

Located in Ayia Napa, this is the biggest permanent fairground on the island and features a variety of rides and attractions for the whole family. Thrill seekers will particularly enjoy a go on the Slingshot, the highest ejection seat ride in Europe.

Ayia Napa Sculpture & Cactus Park

Located at the crossroads of Cape Greco and Kryou Nerou Avenue, this 20,000 square meter Sculpture Park and adjoining cactus park offer a beautifully unique setting for a leisurely stroll. Benches are strategically placed throughout the park for you to rest your feet, and admire the art and the stunning, panoramic views.
