Construction FAQs – Important Information for Our Guests
At Crystal Springs Beach Hotel, we are committed to ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay for all our guests. As there are independent construction projects in the surrounding area—as well as the construction of our new hotel wing—we wish to provide clear and transparent information. Below you will find the most up-to-date details, presented with your comfort in mind.
- General Construction Information
What construction work is taking place near the hotel?
Our new Crystal Springs wing, located on the west side of the hotel on an adjoining plot outside the hotel premises — expected to be completed in March 2027.
• A privately managed hotel development on the west side — expected to be completed in May 2026.
• A privately managed private residence on the east side — expected to be completed in Summer 2026.
What are the working hours for construction?
Construction in Cyprus typically takes place between 07:00 and 16:00, mainly on weekdays. Hours may vary slightly depending on the phase of the works.
How long will the nearby construction last?
The privately managed hotel development is expected to be completed in May 2026, and the private residence in Summer 2026.
Our own new wing is scheduled to be completed in March 2027.
- Noise & Disruptions
Will construction impact my stay?
Guests may hear some noise at times from the nearby projects or from our own new-wing works.
During 2025, while a privately managed hotel development was being constructed adjacent to Crystal Springs, our guests continued to enjoy a seamless and comfortable stay. We expect the same level of comfort throughout the current works.
Will noise levels be significant?
Noise levels vary by construction phase and throughout the day. Indoor spaces and guest rooms are generally less affected than outdoor areas.
Will I hear construction noise from the pool area?
Noise may occasionally be noticeable from the pool area, depending on the phase of the works.
Are there specific times when noise levels are highest?
Noise is generally more noticeable during structural work between 07:00 and 16:00.
- Room & Facility Experience
Will my sea view be affected?
All sea-view rooms continue to offer clear views of the sea. Some construction activity may be visible from certain angles but does not obstruct the sea view.
Will my room experience any noise?
Some rooms may experience occasional noise, depending on the phase and nature of the works.
Will any hotel facilities be closed?
The hotel facilities, including restaurants, pools, the spa, and all common areas, remain fully open and operating normally.
Will the beach and swimming areas be affected?
No. The beach and sea remain fully accessible.
Will there be dust or debris?
Natural outdoor dust levels may vary, though our housekeeping team maintains consistently high standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel.
Is the children’s play area affected?
Some outdoor noise may be heard near the playground. Our indoor Kids’ Club offers a quieter alternative.
- Booking & Cancellation Policies
Can I modify or cancel my booking due to construction?
• For bookings made through a tour operator or travel agency, please contact them directly.
• For direct website bookings:
– Free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival
– Cancellations within 14 days or no-shows will be charged in full
– Last-minute bookings (within 14 days of arrival) may cancel within 12 hours of booking free of charge
Can I request a room far from construction?
Room assignments depend on booked room type and system availability. Specific location requests cannot be guaranteed.
Will the hotel offer compensation or relocation?
Compensation or relocation is not provided. Guests who choose to maintain their reservation after being informed of these details are considered to acknowledge the construction notice in place.
- Construction Timeline & Scheduling
Will construction continue throughout 2026?
Yes. External construction will continue during 2026, and our own new-wing works will continue until March 2027.
Will construction occur on weekends?
Mainly on weekdays, though limited weekend work may occasionally take place.
- Crystal Springs Construction Works
Is the hotel itself under construction?
Crystal Springs has begun the construction of its new wing on the periphery of the hotel grounds. These works will continue until March 2027. All hotel premises and facilities remain fully open and operating normally.
- Guest Logistics & Accessibility
Will construction affect taxi or transfer access?
No. All transport services—including taxis and transfers—remain fully operational.
